| Regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local levels have adopted numerous regulations aimed at preserving and protecting tidal and freshwater wetlands and adjacent areas, and preventing their despoliation and destruction. In response to this important environmental protection issue, Dvirka and Bartilucci Consulting Engineers’s (D&B) staff of experienced and qualified scientists and engineers has provided consulting services relating to wetlands preservation projects, giving due consideration to reasonable economic and social developments. D&B’s services include coordination with federal, state, and local agencies on the delineation, mapping and evaluation of wetland habitats. Such coordination includes regular contacts with government agencies that regulate and maintain maps of tidal and freshwater wetlands. As necessary, D&B also has conducted sampling and analysis programs
in association with wetlands investigations, as well as wetlands preservation
projects aimed at preserving, restoring, or relocating wetlands. Such
projects include environmental review analysis and wetland permitting,
as well as the design and construction of stream flow augmentation measures
including check dams, dredging, storm water diversion, and irrigation.

D&B evaluates the interrelationships between wetlands and any designated significant habitats or critical environmental areas regulated by federal, state, or local agencies. Recent projects for which D&B has provided wetlands management services (i.e., delineation, permitting, design, construction, sampling and/or monitoring) include:
