LIPA Awards Environmental Services Contract to D&B

D&B was recently notified by LIPA that it has been awarded a 5 year contract to provide environmental consulting services to the utility on an as needed basis. The scope of services include compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations, including those related to National Grid’s existing generating facilities on LI; existing merchant generation; LIPA’s existing T&D system; permitting, development and oversight of new fossil and renewable generation; permitting and oversight of new substations and transmission lines; repowering of generating facilities; environmental considerations in energy and strategic planning; land use planning; air emissions services and reporting and federal and state environmental reviews.  This contract will be managed by Rich Walka, Senior Vice President, Multimedia Compliance and Environmental Remediation Division, and Ellen DeOrsay, Senior Associate.
