D&B President Honored At NYWEA 82nd Annual Conference

The New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) held it’s 82nd Annual Conference on February 1-3, 2010 at the New York City Marriott Marquis hotel. Founded in 1929, NYWEA has over 2,500 members statewide dedicated to promote state and national clean water programs. The annual conference attracts over 1,200 water/wastewater operators, environmental engineers, scientists, academicians and elected officials and provides an excellent educational and networking environment. Each year, NYWEA recognizes members for their years of dedication and service to the association. This year, two D&B’ers were honored. President Henry Chlupsa was inducted into the NYWEA Hall of Fame for “commitment to a career of improving the water quality environment in New York State and for providing many years of extraordinary service and contributions to the past and current success of NYWEA”. Henry joins fellow D&B’ers, Nick Bartilucci and Steve Fangmann, as NYWEA Hall of Fame inductees.  Also honored was “Gopal” Gopalakrishnan for his dedication and service to NYWEA over the past 30 years.
